Program Details: 1 week hands on research experience. Daily attendance is required.
Number of Students: 15-20 undergraduate and ~10 high school students will be selected.
Program Description: A week long program held at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Participants will attend lectures and have hands on practical experience. Students will work in small groups on a research project to complete during the program. On the final day each group will present their research project summarizing their results and findings.
- Mini-research projects:
- Research topics included a hypothesis with clear objectives on how to answer each question
- Hands on experience with imaging, cell cultures, and computational data analysis
- Experience in organizing data, logical thinking and presenting in front of your peers

Instruments Used: All instruments selected for the research projects are housed or owned by the Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics (http://www.lfd.uci.edu/)
