Claire completed her undergraduate and masters degrees at the University of Southampton, UK in Biomedical Sciences, graduating in 2017. She then moved to University of Cambridge for her PhD, studying the role of CD33 and TREM2 on microglial activation and graduating in 2021. She joined the Green lab and MODEL-AD in 2022 as a postdoc, focusing on the role of risk genes, including ABCA7 and ABI3, on the progression of Alzheimer’s disease pathology in different animal models. In 2024, she received the Roger W. Russell Award from the UCI Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory in recognition of outstanding scholarship and service to the academic community. When Claire is not at work, you’ll find her drinking wine with her cats at home, hiking, paddle boarding, or at the beach trying to surf.
