Video Analysis

Minimally-edited video is “not automatically data but more appropriately should be characterized as an information source within which data could be identified.”

Decisions over what is or is not relevant to a study are made throughout the research process, from planning to shooting to analysis to publication. As these decisions result in the isolation of segments that can be subjected to analysis, video becomes data.
